An important part of the TEAM#UP project is the transfer of knowledge in the field of ecological restoration. To this end, vocational schools should be able to effectively teach their students the relevant content.
Virtual reality (VR) offers a wide range of possibilities in this regard and is therefore being used in the form of interactive video tours.
These video tours are based on 360-degree panoramas that serve as a kind of turntable or sphere and are filled with various aspects of ecological restoration. For example, implementation sites can be shown in the various phases of restoration or over the course of the seasons.
To enable teachers at vocational schools to create their own interactive content and to teach students how to create content, a webinar on ‘VR Documentation’ was created and conducted.
The topics included the theoretical groundwork and the creation of the conceptual foundations, the practical implementation and an introduction to the LUMI software.
The photos used in the practical part of the webinar were taken independently.
This way, the participants were able to better identify with the subsequent learning materials and also gain practical experience.
The webinars created also form the basis for the final report of Deliverable 3.1 ‘Online course on VR/AR documentation’ in work package 3 and were a prerequisite for the successful completion of this deliverable.
